GOODWORK Consulting offers advice, mentoring, and facilitation to organisations in developing their workforce, through accredited learning programmes leading to university credit and awards. Our specialism is the Third Sector (charities, social enterprises, civil society organisations). We can help you develop a learning strategy that aligns the learning and development of your people with your organisational purpose and goals.
Existing on-the-job and formal training activities can be incorporated with continuing work based learning activities into a qualification package for each person. Awards can be at HE certificate, undergraduate or post-graduate level to suit the individual stage of development.
Work based learning is designed around projects that are a natural part of the work process. The advantage of involving your people in a work based learning programme is that they will have the support of experienced mentors dedicated to their learning success alongside them while they are doing their work.
GOODWORK Consulting is resourced by people with extensive knowledge and experience in both higher education and the not-for-profit world. Our team of consultants and learning facilitators is international in scope and professional experience.
Putting CPD to good work
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is described by the Chartered Institute of Professional Development as, “…the conscious updating of professional knowledge and the improvement of professional competence throughout a person’s working life.” Most CPD is done through in-service training and short courses away from the workplace, leaving the individual responsible to apply what they have learned. The GoodWork approach can help your staff put their training to good work – maximising the benefits of CPD to the individual and the organisation.
